Forums Upgrade
The new forums will be up before month end. Unfortunately, we have not been able to convert our old forums into the new software because our current forums are too old. After 3 months, we are done trying.
As such, a decision has been made to install the new software. When this is complete, we will add the advertising (banners, etc) add-ons and a new interface and will activate everything.
The new interface will have an "archives" section so that people may look up old threads. Honestly, there is just too much good information here and we don't want to lose everyone's hard work.
When we throw the switch, everyone will have to log into the new forums and re-register. Sorry, but because we can't transfer the database over, there is no way around this. The good side is that the new version has a built in CAPTCHA image verification add-on which means that you can register yourself and the registration process no longer needs to be locked.
The new forums will have a new domain name, which will be announced shortly. The reason is that we do not control the manitobaherp.com name which points to Tim's server and due to the way he has set up his other domains under it, he cannot transfer it to us. As such, the new domain name will go directly to the new forums, or you can use the manitobaherp.com address to navigate to it via the "forums" button that will be there. The manitobaherp.com name will go to the archived forums.
More updates will be posted as we get nearer to the conversion, which will be in approximately 1 week.

Good job guys. Every now and then a completely fresh start is just what's needed. Plus it will be PILES easier to keep on top of upgrades with a fresh install. Can't wait to see it!
