Well, this is it. The old MHS forums are closing and the new one is unveiled. Please go to http://www.manitobaherp.com/ and click on "forums" to go to the new site.

The forums were built for the green style so when you log in for the first time, please set it as your preference at the bottom of the screen.

These forums will remain open as an archive only, and are accessible at the manitobaherp.com into screen. Choose "archive" to enter.

We hope you will like the new forums look and would like to hear your feedback.

This is the only section that will remain open. Please post here if you are having any problems accessing the new site.

Great to see the new forums up!

Things I noticed:
-Right on the home page banner, the lower half of Manitoba is AWOL? I see the gecko and half the snake. Is this how it's supposed to be?
-When I didn't capitalize a letter in one e-mail address and I did in another, an error occurred. That's fine, but the page that popped up to tell me was white and messed up.

Forum looks cool in green. I'm member 11 :3 Yay!

The style had a fixed background so that only a certain height of banner would work. I cut the bottom of the logo off to stylize it and make it fit but have been told by a few others that they aren't fans.

As such, I will work on something new for that spot. The problem was, that the full sized province looked like an illegible postage stamp at that size so that was sort of out, too. We will see what we can come up with.

As far as the error page, not sure what I can do about it but will look into it when I have a second.

Save Our Skinks!

We tried, Steve worked on it for 3 months but the problem ends up as we have to do too many updates before we'd be able to upgrade. We'd have to back up the forums each time, but the server the old forums are on is too small to back up the forum prior to upgrading. There were other issues but this was one of them.

The archives are still accessible from the main page, but we finally decided we had to choose from trying for another 3 months and possibly still not getting it to work, or installing the software we paid for in February and had been promising for 6 months prior to that.
